Technical SEO Implementation

For businesses that already have a website but need the technical foundation fixed. We implement schema markup, fix Core Web Vitals issues, resolve crawl errors, rebuild internal linking architecture, set up proper canonical tags, and verify Search Console configuration — all without a full rebuild.

How We Work

Our Development
Process in 6 Phases

Every build follows this process. No phase is skipped. Timelines are agreed at the start and communicated proactively — not reactively when a deadline is missed.

Phase 1 · Week 1

Discovery & Brief

Structured 90-minute brief covering your business objectives, target audience, existing assets, technical requirements, integrations needed, and success metrics. Site map and page list agreed. Content responsibilities clarified — what you provide, what we produce.

Signed brief documentSite mapProject timeline
Phase 2 · Week 1–2

SEO Foundation & Architecture

Before a single design decision is made, we build the SEO foundation. Keyword research for every page. URL structure planned. H1/H2 hierarchy mapped. Schema markup types identified. Page speed budget set. This determines the architecture — design follows structure, not the other way around.

Keyword mapURL structureSchema planPerformance budget
Phase 3 · Week 2–3

Design & Wireframes

Wireframes built for all key page templates. Conversion flow mapped — where does the visitor come from, what do they see first, and what single action do we need them to take? Visual design produced in Figma. One round of revisions included. Sign-off required before build begins.

Phase 4 · Week 3–6

Development Build

Build begins on a staging environment — never on live. Code written to the agreed performance budget. Every page built mobile-first, then desktop. Semantic HTML used throughout for accessibility and crawlability. All tracking tags implemented and tested in GTM before launch — not as an afterthought.

Phase 5 · Week 6–7

Testing & Quality Assurance

Every page tested across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge — desktop and mobile. Core Web Vitals measured and optimised: LCP under 2.5s, CLS under 0.1, FID under 100ms. All forms tested. All links verified. Schema markup validated. Search Console verified. GA4 conversion events confirmed firing correctly.

Phase 6 · Week 7–8

Launch & Handover

Launch planned for a Tuesday–Thursday window — never Friday. DNS migration managed by us. 301 redirects from any old URLs implemented and verified. XML sitemap submitted to Search Console. 30-day post-launch monitoring included — we watch rankings, Core Web Vitals, and crawl errors in the weeks after launch and fix anything that needs attention.

Non-Negotiable Standards

What We Build Into
Every Single Project.

Core Web Vitals compliance — built in, not patched

LCP under 2.5s, CLS under 0.1, FID under 100ms. Images compressed and served in WebP. Critical CSS inlined. Non-critical JS deferred. These are not aspirational — they are verified before launch.

📱

Mobile-first, not mobile-adapted

We design and build for mobile screens first, then scale up. 64% of UK web traffic is mobile. A site that works on desktop but is clunky on mobile is not acceptable to us or to Google.

🔍

SEO architecture from line one

Title tags, meta descriptions, H1/H2 hierarchy, canonical tags, Open Graph tags, XML sitemaps, and robots.txt — all configured correctly on every page, not as an afterthought when the site is built.

📊

Conversion tracking verified before launch

GA4 configured, all conversion events tested in real time, GTM container clean, Search Console ownership verified. You never go live without knowing your analytics are accurate.

WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance

Colour contrast ratios verified, alt text on all images, keyboard navigation functional, ARIA labels where needed, and semantic HTML throughout. Accessibility is required by UK law under the Equality Act — and it improves SEO.

🔒

SSL, security headers & UK GDPR compliance

HTTPS enforced. Security headers configured (CSP, HSTS, X-Frame-Options). Cookie consent management compliant with UK GDPR. Privacy policy and cookie policy linked from every page footer.

How We Are Different

What We Do That
Most Agencies Don't.

01
SEO is built in before design starts
Most agencies design the site, build it, then hand it to an SEO consultant who finds the architecture is wrong. We build the SEO foundation — keyword map, URL structure, schema plan — before wireframes are drawn.
02
We build on staging, never on live
Changes made directly to a live website are a risk. Every build and every significant update happens on a staging environment that mirrors production exactly — tested, approved, then deployed.
03
Tracking verified before you pay the final invoice
We will not mark a project complete until every conversion event is firing correctly in GA4, every ad platform's tracking is verified, and you can see real data in Search Console. Broken tracking is a zero-tolerance issue for us.
04
30-day post-launch monitoring included
Launch day is not handover day. We monitor Core Web Vitals, Search Console crawl errors, and rankings for 30 days after go-live and fix anything that needs attention. Your site does not get abandoned on launch day.
05
Platform choice based on your needs, not ours
We recommend the right platform for your business, content team, and budget — not the one that is fastest for us to build. Sometimes that is WordPress. Sometimes Webflow. Sometimes custom. We explain the tradeoffs in writing.
06
You own everything
Domain, hosting, all source code, all accounts — everything transfers to you at project completion. We do not hold assets hostage or structure engagements to create dependency. You should be able to work with any developer after us.
Common Questions

Development
Questions Answered

We build business websites, landing pages, e-commerce stores (Shopify and WooCommerce), CMS-powered blog and content sites, and custom web applications. All builds include technical SEO from the start — not as an add-on. If you have a specific requirement not listed here, contact us and we will tell you honestly whether it is something we can deliver.
A landing page takes 1–2 weeks. A business website with 5–10 pages takes 3–5 weeks. A full multi-page site with custom design and CMS takes 6–8 weeks. An e-commerce build takes 6–10 weeks depending on catalogue size and integrations. Timelines are agreed in the brief and we communicate proactively if anything affects delivery.
It depends on your content team and your business type. WordPress is best for content-heavy sites where your team wants maximum editorial control. Webflow is best for design-forward sites where content updates are infrequent. Shopify is best for pure e-commerce. WooCommerce suits e-commerce businesses that also need a content/blog strategy. We give you a written recommendation with rationale — not a default choice.
We do not provide hosting directly, but we recommend and help you set up the right hosting environment for your build — typically WP Engine or Kinsta for WordPress, Netlify for static builds, or Shopify's own infrastructure for e-commerce. You hold the hosting contract and pay the hosting provider directly. We configure everything and can manage hosting administration as part of an ongoing support arrangement if needed.
All projects include 30 days of post-launch monitoring — Core Web Vitals, Search Console crawl errors, and conversion tracking. After that, we offer ongoing monthly support and development retainers for businesses that want continued technical management. Details are discussed at the end of the project once you have seen how the site is performing.
Both. For redesigns, we start with a technical audit of your existing site to understand what is working and what to preserve — particularly from an SEO perspective. Redesigns that are handled carelessly frequently lose rankings. We document every existing URL, map 301 redirects before the new site is built, and verify Search Console after launch to catch any indexation issues immediately.
